In order to live, we must work. What if your workplace environment is affecting your time outside of work? When work interferes with living, how do you stay motivated? Human resources are supposed to help, but many times, they are not given the tools to be able to assist folks who may actively be in or are at the beginning stages of a crisis. Stigma and fear of backlash can stop people from speaking out at all.
At the Council, our goal is prevention. We attempt to respond to the need now in order to influence the future. We promote wellness as a right, something everyone is entitled to. When our community is healthy, everyone benefits. And that includes workplaces, the workforce, and the parents of the thousands of children we serve through the Council. Do we have the ability to make choices for people? Absolutely not, nor would we want to. Empowerment is about sharing the tools needed to thrive and establish a sustainable, balanced life. Person-centered recovery focuses on creating a plan with achievable goals that can be celebrated along the way. So how? How can we do what might feel like an impossible task? We’d like to invite you to participate in something new, something bold, something fresh. It’s called the Team Awareness Workplace Wellness (TAWW) NY Program. TEAM AWARENESS WORKPLACE WELLNESS
